1. About these terms

These Terms of Use and Booking Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the NATKA website (this site at [domain TBD] and its language variants) and any reservation you make for accommodation at our properties — Hotel Boutique Natka, Bella Natka, or Villa Natka. By using the site or making a booking, you accept these Terms.

3. Use of the website

You may use the NATKA website to learn about our properties, browse Rovinj content, and make or manage a reservation. You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to access areas of the site you are not authorised to access;
  • introduce viruses, trojans, or other malicious code;
  • copy, scrape, or republish material from the site without our written permission;
  • use automated tools to harvest data from the site.

We may suspend or restrict access to the site for any user who breaches these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the NATKA website — text, photography, graphics, logos, and the NATKA wordmark — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Croatian and international copyright and trademark law. Personal, non-commercial viewing in your browser is permitted; any other use requires our written permission.

Photographs of our properties may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without permission. Photographs of Rovinj sourced from third parties (e.g. iStock) are licensed to us for use on this site only.

5. Booking conditions

5.1 How to book

You can book a NATKA stay through:

  • the Rentlio booking widget on each property page (direct booking with us);
  • Booking.com or another listed online travel agency;
  • email or phone with the family directly.

Direct bookings are the most flexible and avoid platform fees.

5.2 Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation (email) showing the property, dates, number of guests, room type, total price, and applicable cancellation terms. Until then the reservation is not binding.

5.3 Pricing and payment

  • Prices are quoted per room (or per villa) per night, in Euros (€), and include VAT as required by Croatian law.
  • Prices do not include Croatian tourist tax (boravišna pristojba), which is charged separately per person per night at check-in.
  • Optional extras (extra bed, airport shuttle where paid, additional cleaning) are charged separately as quoted.

5.4 Cancellations and changes

Cancellation and modification terms vary by rate plan and are confirmed at the time of booking. The full framework is set out on our Cancellation Policy page.

5.5 House rules

By booking, you and all members of your party agree to the House Rules for the property you are staying at. We may refuse check-in or end a stay early without refund for serious or repeated breaches (parties, damage, illegal activity, abuse of staff).

5.6 Identification

A valid passport or national ID is required at check-in for every adult guest. This is a Croatian legal requirement (eVisitor registration), not a NATKA-specific rule.

5.7 Tourist tax

Croatian tourist tax (boravišna pristojba) is set by the local council and charged per person per night. The current rate is confirmed at check-in or via your booking platform. Tax is charged for nights stayed; it is not refundable on cancellation or early check-out.

6. Liability

6.1 Our liability

We take care to ensure information on the website and at our properties is accurate. We are liable for losses caused by our negligence to the extent required by Croatian law. We are not liable for:

  • losses we could not reasonably have foreseen;
  • losses caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure: natural disasters, government action, strikes, war, epidemics);
  • losses caused by your own breach of these Terms or the House Rules.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where Croatian law does not allow such limitation — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

6.2 Personal property

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Use the in-room safe where provided. We are not liable for valuables stored outside the safe.

6.3 Third-party services

Where we recommend third-party services (restaurants, wineries, day-trip operators, airport shuttles arranged with external providers), we are not liable for the performance of those third parties. Our recommendations are made in good faith.

7. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events outside its reasonable control, including: natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, public-health restrictions, or interruptions to utilities.

8. Consumer rights

For consumer reservations, you have rights under Croatian and EU consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded by these Terms. These Terms do not affect those rights.

For online disputes, EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/odr.

For domestic disputes, Croatian consumers may contact the relevant consumer protection bodies, including the Croatian State Inspectorate.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Croatia, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence under EU law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. The version of the Terms in force at the time you make your booking is the version that applies to that booking.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
